There were $369,321 of improvements made to Huxley Park in 2017. The social benefits to having the improvements at Huxley are huge. The children now have a place for them to go and meet their friends, meet new friends and develop better social skills. The parents can meet others with the same things in life to deal with.
The tennis players have a much improved surface to play on and we still have a few upgrades to do in that area as well The sports court users are enjoying their new facility as well with play starting moment the last pieces of construction was done.
I hear there are about 30 kids now learning to play ball hockey. We are also hoping to be able to squeeze three pickle ball courts it to the sports court. There are also basket ball hoops for those who would like to work on their NBA skills.
